Riedseltz Families - This is our "Riedseltz Families" database. It is a work in progress.

It is comprised of those we have identified as being residents of Riedseltz or descendants of those people. It was made by tagging individuals in a personal database.

This database is by no means complete. It lacks dozens of families. It also lacks documents and links. It is our hope that database users will submit their gedcom files as well as images of all sorts. In addition, any assistance in linking documents to individuals, setting up maps, etc. is greatly appreciated.

You must register to use this database. Please do so if you are a current resident of, or a descendant of a resident of, Riedseltz, Wissembourg, Bas Rhin, Alsace, France.

Riedseltz Project is an extensive project of transcribing Riedseltz documents. This spreadsheet is a very small amount of the data so far.

The discussion feature is new to me. With any luck I can make it work. Anyone who has experience with this format, made with FrontPage, please let me know.

Database:

The software used to create the genealogy database on this site is TNG (The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding).

TNG is a powerful program and can have amazing results. But, it IS a program that needs tweaking. If you have experience in "tweaking" or are willing to learn, please consider helping.

Here is a bit of information from the TNG web-site:

TNG “is a powerful way to manage and display your genealogy data on the Internet, all without generating a single page of HTML. Instead, your information is stored in MySQL database tables and dynamically displayed in attractive fashion with PHP (a scripting language).”
